A pottery class for kids (ages 9 and up)

This school holidays, Ata is offering a kid's pottery wheel class with tutor Coralie Winn. It's a chance to play with clay and have messy fun. This holidays, our theme is food given that it will have recently been Mātariki.

The class will function as follows:

MORNING

• learn a bit about clay

• make and decorate your very own set of two cups

LUNCH BREAK - we will all go to Albion Square to eat lunch and run around a bit from 12 -1pm. If raining we will eat lunch inside here at Ata. Please pack your child's lunch and drink bottle as well as a raincoat if it's rainy.

AFTERNOON

• sculpt clay food, decorate with coloured clay. Together we will make a clay feast!

Your tutor will fire and glaze your children's pieces for them. Pots and other ceramic creations will be returned approx. 3 weeks later.

What to bring?

• an apron

• drink bottle

• towel for cleaning hands

• lunchbox

• (wear) older clothes as they will get muddy. (Clay doesn't stain though.)

CANCELLATIONS - 48 hours notice is required for a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before workshop we reserve the right to keep half your fee. If you are a no show on the day, we will keep 100% of the fee. Thanks for your understanding.
