Something loud, rambunctious and extremely silly has been happening at the Lyttelton Rec centre the last few months.

Feminist Clown Posse, led by the multi-award winning 'Queen of Physical Comedy' Tessa Waters, presents their first EVER live show full of stupidity, joy and glorious failure. Over 20 clowns will make you laugh in places you didn't know you had. 

*No red noses, no big shoes and it is safe for those with Coulrophobia (fear of clowns).

Tess Waters Bio

Tessa Waters is a multi-award-winning clown, comedian and theatre-maker who has called Lyttelton home for the past two years. Having studied at the Gaulier School of Clown in Paris, she went on to make her solo show WOMANZ, which was the first to win 4 awards in one season at the Melbourne Fringe Awards and went on to tour internationally for 6 years.

Her show ‘Fully Sik’ co-won best comedy at Adelaide Fringe with Hannah Gadsby's 'Nannette' and was filmed as an hour special for ABC TV in Australia, and she is one-third of Fringe Wives Club, who’s smash hit feminist disco cabaret 'Glittery Clittery, a conSensual Party' toured internationally from 2017-2020.

Feminist Clown Posse was started with Anya Tate-Manning in Wellington in 2021 and relocated with Tess to Ōtautahi and Ohinehou in 2023.
